Victory In Defeat

KRC Genk was defeated by Rapid Vienna in their opening Europa League game by 3 goals to 2. However, Leon Bailey put on a stellar performance for KRC Genk, a performance that would have seen them tie the game if it weren't for an unfortunate own goal in the 60th minute of the game. Bailey curled in a superb strike for the opening goal of the game and his second goal came from the penalty spot later on in the game. His excellent performance earned him a 9.0 match rating and the man of the match vote online. KRC Genk line up against Sassuolo from Italy on September 29th at KRC Genk's home turf in Belgium.
