KRC Genk Into Europa League

KRC Genk squeezed their way into the Europa League today with a win over Budućnost. It was a rough match for Genk as Budućnost took the lead just after 1 minute. Budućnost would go on to score another goal and tie the match on aggregate. Genk was playing for their lives as they were playing with a man down after Kumordzi got sent off in the 74th minute. Genk held on to take the match into extra time where it would eventually lead to a penalty shootout. Phoenix All Stars Leon Bailey did not take a penalty in the Shootout but was a key part of keeping the pressure on Budućnost for the entire 120 minutes. Genk won the penalty shootout in fine fashion as they all tucked their penalties away resulting in the 4-2 penalties victory for Genk which will see them through to the Europa League.
